Robert Warnock (Jail 21 years , 2 months , 9 days left)

Robert Warnock was convicted of the attempted murder of a 37-year-old woman.

He attacked her with a meat cleaver as she waited for a taxi in Greenock on 28 June 2019.

On 22 September 2022 he was convicted of conspiracy to murder. He and a number of other men orchesterated a series of firebombings targetting a man that that was in prison for attempted murder, his relatives and properties.

Robert Warnock, Craig McFarlane, Cain Carr, Drew Darling, Brendan O'Donnell and Kieran McAnally were convicted for a range of offences over a fire bombing campaign.

Robert Warnock, Craig McFarlane and  Cain Carr were convicted of conspiracy to murder.

Drew Darling, Brendan O'Donnell and Kieran McAnally were convicted of attempted murder.

There were three attacked:

• 13 July 2020:  A flat in Union Street, Greenock was petrol bombed.
• 14 September 2020: The same flat in Union Street, Greenock was attacked again by a drug user called George Miller who poured petrol in through the door and letterbox and also set himself on fire and died.
• 19 September 2020: A flat in Cumberland Road was petrol bombed.

Drew Darling and Brendan O'Donnell were convicted of attempted murder for the attack in Union Street.

Kieran McAnally was convicted of attempted murder for the attack in Cumberland Road.

Robert Warnock had organised the attacks by mobile phone in prison in revenge for the attack on his brother in 2019 for which one of the targetted person was servinf prison time for attempted murder.
